Beijing is a large live city in the Asian-Pacific with something happening in every corner. Whether it's day or night there is something boiling and smells being emitting the air, of course it's food I speak of. All throughout the streets there are carts, markets, and restaurants serving various types of food; though be warned some of the food is not appealing. In Beijing, the food staple consists of: hot pots, noodles, dumplings, and meat. From the photos above, the Chinese have no limits as to the types of meat or creatures they eat which is: duck, pigeon, turtle, ox, beef, chicken, rabbit, pork, seafood, insects, and more. I personally was not daring enough to eat a lot of the foods, what I mainly ate were dumplings and noodles. The thing that will never keep it's distance from me is desserts. Beijing is big on the matcha green tea, fresh fruits, crepes, and breaded pastries. If one ever visits Beijing, the desserts are a must try but be careful when eating fresh fruits or vegetables for the water isn't clean that they wash with and can make you sick. The key is to watch what you eat. Listen to your gut feelings and you will be okay. Just try it out!

Hope this post didn't scare you from ever visiting China! It's an enjoyable experience!

  1. The man cooking up a pot of dumplings along the ally has a way with making them look so delicious. I hope you had some. I have a feeling that the fried starfish has a salty taste to them. And tarantula as a food choice is very gross Sounding. II'll have their desserts any day or night though! Love your blog!
